The Results of Our Actions

James 5:20

Remember this: whoever turns a sinner back from the wrong way will save that sinner's soul from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.

The whole point of this physical reality is to manifest the spiritual world into our world. Our free will determines what we manifest into this world. The vehicle for what is brought into our world spiritually is sacrifice. So the root of our sacrifices will be brought forth into the world through the sacrifice of your actions. This is why whatever you do, the motivations and the actions must align with the kingdom of heaven lest we bring hell on earth through our lives.

When we have thoughts that suggest evil to us such as jealousy, unwarranted hatred, or more commonly the married man or woman who can't help but think of being with other people sexually, or when we take advantage of people and situations using deception and manipulation, if we explore why we are having these thoughts, we see that these and all forms of temptation don't come from our logic and reason. We instead have to rationalize these ideas. We have to flesh out the logic to give them credibility. These ideas don't always come from us; they are often pushed into the mind by external dark entities. It is an invasion of the mind using tempting thoughts to manipulate us into committing sacrifices that bring spiritual chaos into our lives. It is an invitation to hurt others and to hurt ourselves which in turn hurts the world.

To see God's point of view of how we act towards him we need to understand the book of Hosea. There we see the feelings God must have for us, explained through the story of Hosea and his relationship with his adulterous wife, which represents God with the nation of Israel and the church.

Hosea 2:2-5

"Plead with Israel- your mother- for she is no longer my wife, and I am no longer her husband. Tell her to remove the prostitute's makeup from her face and the clothing that exposes her breasts. Otherwise, I will strip her as naked as she was on the day she was born. I will leave her to die of thirst, as in a dry and barren wilderness. And I will not love her children, for they were conceived in prostitution. Their mother is a shameless prostitute and became pregnant in a shameful way. She said, 'I'll run after other lovers and sell myself to them for food and water, for clothing of wool and linen, and for olive oil and drinks.

The New Testament regards those who choose to follow God collectively (the church) as the bride of Christ the Messiah to the Israelites, which is God in human form. When we leave our God and commit sacrifices of any sort for that which is evil, it's committing spiritual adultery. It is coming into the sort of creative interaction with darkness that results in us giving birth to realities that severely diminish or destroy the relationship we have with our God in the same way it would in a normal marital relationship. This is why we can't chase the treasures promised by evil, be it money, stimulation, attention, or whatever draws you away from God.

James 1:12-16

Blessed [spiritually prosperous & favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God” [for temptation does not originate from God, but from our own flaws]; for God cannot be tempted by [what is] evil, and He Himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted when he is dragged away, enticed and baited [to commit sin] by his own [worldly] desire (lust, passion). Then when the illicit desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin has run its course, it gives birth to death. Do not be misled, my beloved brothers and sisters.

God will not force good thoughts into your mind. God is not like those evil entities, He is where the idea of a gentleman comes from. We have the knowledge of good and evil and by our God-given free will we decide for ourselves what we want to manifest in our lives. If we choose God’s goodness he will forgive what we have done and take us in. If we choose whatever evil the enemy has for us God will respect our wish and leave us to the darkness. God takes our free will very seriously.
